ALL KIDS PLAY

This is the single most important value of KidzPlay. Kids improve by playing, not watching. Therefore, we have developed a player substitution program that guarantees all players have equal playing time. After all, isn't that what you want for your child?

CHARACTER MATTERS

This value is important to every parent. The public schools can no longer teach character and spiritual values. They are not allowed to. They are forced to be value neutral. Parents have been wildly enthusiastic about their children being taught values for life. That is what KidzPlay is all about.

POSITIVE COACHING

Coaches are taught how to coach without being negative. Children are taught that winning is not the most important thing. Playing hard to win is. That's a key part of KidzPlay.

SPORTSMANSHIP COUNTS

Players are taught respect for all participants. This includes the opposing team, the parents and spectators, and the officials. They are shown how to be good sports and help the other team's players when they are knocked down. Sportsmanship is important in KidzPlay.

INSTRUCTIONAL AND RECREATIONAL

KidzPlay teaches children how to play basketball. But we never lose sight of the fact that kids just want to have fun. That means we focus on the kids and having plenty of fun. Isn't that what you would have wanted when you were a player?

Teaching your staff and volunteers about all of this may sound impossible. Don't worry. We will help you in every way possible. Our coaching manuals have everything in them to get your people trained. Our Director's manual is geared toward taking a sports outreach novice and helping them to learn everything they need to lead this type of a ministry.
